The other issue I have is the resources required to play the current client. If you're not on a high-end machine, it's frustrating and almost pointless to play at the moment. I have the luxury of two boxes - one at my business and one at home. My machine at work is a few years old and it's not really capable of playing the game. I can load into the game and as long as there’s not a lot of other player around, I can quest and move around a bit. However, if I try to do an instance or get around a lot of other players, my client pretty much freezes and it looks like a slide show, with the frames moving in slow motion. Like I stated earlier, the box is a few years old, but it currently runs World of Warcraft (TBC) perfectly fine. It's a Pentium 4 3.40GHz with 2 GB RAM and an XFX GeForce 8600 GT XXX video card.
My computer at home runs the game perfectly, but it's a beast of a machine. It's a Q9450 Quad-Core 2.66GHz with 8 GB RAM and an eVGA GeForce GTX 280 (1 MB) video card. Unless there are some serious optimizations made to the client, it's going to take a fairly high-end computer to run the game effectively. Hopefully, that's in the works already and will be ready for the open beta for the folks who pre-ordered the collector's edition of the game.
Vad är era kommentarer till denna?
Jag är definitivt orolig här. Om det inte räcker med Pentium 4 3,4GHz och GeoForce 8600 GT, lär det vara många maskiner därute som inte hänger med.
